General: Albion Park 26 June 2023 - Late scratching - Race 1 - All That Torque.

After hearing submissions from trainer Nikki Peters in relation to the greyhound not being presented and speaking with Racing Queensland grading department, stewards have concluded that the greyhound was drawn into the Albion Park event incorrectly and subsequently have removed the stand down penalty from the greyhound’s record and removed the penalty from trainer Nikki Peters also.

Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 431m

3 Apache Malt Tightened for racing room approaching the home straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

6 Strange World Improved on the heels of another runner in the home straight and lost ground.

7 Diva Signal Dragged down from behind in the home straight and shifted out bumping with another runner.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

8 Crypto Queen Bumped by another runner in the home straight and lost ground.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 431m

2 Don't Look Ethel Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

3 Smooth As Sleek Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

4 Aeroplane Rosie Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

8 Slippery Witch Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

1 Bogie Dominator Checked at first turn and lost ground.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

2 Operation Man Checked at first turn and lost ground.

6 Harlem Mob Checked at the turn after the back straight and lost ground.

Race 4 - QGOLD HEAT 1 GRADE 5 520m

1 Vienna On Call Checked at the end of the front straight and lost ground.

3 Bentley Boom Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

7 Spot On Albert Checked at the end of the front straight and lost ground.

Race 5 - QGOLD HEAT 2 GRADE 5 520m

1 Rebel Blaster Shifted out at the first turn and bumped another runner.

4 Spot On Lads Bumped by another runner at the first turn and lost ground.

6 Valhalla Checked at the end of the front straight and lost ground.

8 Whether To Fly Checked at the end of the front straight and lost ground.

Race 6 - QGOLD HEAT 3 GRADE 5 520m

1 Hot Blaster Checked in the back straight and lost ground.

3 Royal Look Checked at the end of the front straight and lost ground.

6 Here Wolfe Checked at the end of the front straight and lost ground.

Race 7 - QGOLD HEAT 4 GRADE 5 520m

8 Rubys And Pearls Raced wide at the first turn and for the remainder of the event.

Race 8 - QGOLD HEAT 5 GRADE 5 520m

2 Blue Rex Checked at the first turn and lost ground.  Approaching the home turn shifted out and made muzzle contact with another runner.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.  Charged under Gar 123 marring 3rd offence and was stood down 3 months at all tracks and 2 satisfactory trials prior to nomination.

3 Born To Rave Turned its head for a number of strides approaching the home straight and made muzzle contact with an runner.  Charged under GAR 123 marring 1^st offence 28 days all tracks and 1 trial prior to nomination.

4 Booming Boo Boo Marred by another runner approaching the winning post and lost ground.

5 Narkunda Checked approaching the home straight and lost ground.

6 Carton Of Bear Checked at the first turn and lost ground.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a near side pin muscle and was stood down for 7 days

7 She's Some Fox Checked at the first turn and lost ground. Shortly after became unbalanced and fell taking no further part in the event.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed  a back injury and was stood down for 7 days.

8 Flying Promise   Turned its head approaching the winning post and lost ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.  Charged under Gar 124 Failure to pursue 1^st offence 28 days at Ipswich and 1 trial required prior to nomination.

Race 9 - FEDERAL MORGAN AT STUD BEST 8 431m

1 Bailey Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

3 Sunset Charlie Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

4 Bernie Boom Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

5 Bundy Prize Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

6 Cockney Sparrow Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

7 Canya Torque Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

8 Little Byrnes Checked at the first turn and lost ground.  Tightened for racing room at the end of the back straight and lost ground.

8 Clear To Pass  Late scratching at 12:44pm when trainer M Goodwin reported the greyhound to have an illness GAR 76(2). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 76(5) before any future nomination will be accepted

Race 11 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 5 (1) 431m

2 Cost A Dime Checked at the first turn and lost ground.  Became unbalanced and fell in the back straight and lost ground.
