Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 288m

1 Tommy Trumpet – Severely checked approaching the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

2 Star Noelle – Checked in the first turn. Severely checked approaching the home turn.

4 Burrum Slipper – Checked shortly after the start. Severely checked approaching the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

6 Dragon Link – Checked shortly after the start. Turned its head to the inside and made muzzle contact with another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainers representative E Weeding regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Dragon Link did make muzzle contact with the greyhound to its inside and therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Dragon Link was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

5 Farmor Leeway – Checked shortly after the start.

2 Rich Tapestry – Checked approaching the first turn.

6 Star Aura – Checked entering the home straight.

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS MAIDEN HEAT 4 MAIDEN 288m

4 Bud's Heart – Checked approaching the first turn. Marred by another runner approaching and rounding the home turn.

6 Woody's Cowgirl – Checked approaching the first turn. Turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with another runner approaching and rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainers representative T Henzel regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Woody’s Cowgirl did make muzzle contact with the greyhound to its outside and therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Woody’s Cowgirl was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

2 Woody's Chance – Checked approaching the first turn.

3 Cecil Citizen – Checked approaching the first turn.

5 Black Copy – Checked approaching the first turn.

1 Snow Storm – Proved difficult to box at the start of the race. Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 106(2) advised trainers representative P Rigg that the greyhound will now be boxed first for future race starts.

3 One Stone Boy – Checked and became unbalanced approaching the home turn.

6 Farmor Legacy – Checked rounding the home turn.

7 Farmor Standards – Checked and fell rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. 

8 Tuta Panda – Checked and became unbalanced approaching the home turn.

4 Toxic Turtle – Checked approaching the first turn.

5 Annika Mac – Checked approaching the first turn.

2 Harleen Quinzel – Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.

5 He's The Outlaw – Checked in the first turn. Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.

Race 10 - GREYHOUND GEAR NOVICE (1) 288m

6 Crown Of Rock – Checked in the home straight.

Race 11 – TAB NOVICE (2) 288m

2 Luke's Babe – Checked shortly after the start.

5 Trapezoid Girl – Eased and turned its head outwards in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near hind toe and was subsequently stood down from racing for 7 days. Stewards charged Trapezoid Girl under GAR125 for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Trapezoid girl will be stood down for 7 days all tracks and will need to complete a satisfactory trial before nominating for any future events.

6 Little Miss Judy – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
