7 Often Right – (Beaten favourite) Severely checked on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 431m

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS NOVICE (2) 431m

 

3 It’s The Ziggy< /span> – Severely checked entering the back straight, checked entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side back muscle injury the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

5 Full Of Cheek – Shifted ou abruptly and raced wide on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Stella Marschke regarding the greyhound’s actions on the home turn. After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.

 

 

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 4 431m

Race 6 - SWAGMAN'S PIES NAMBOUR MIXED 3/4 431m

 

2 Jaydah’s– Checked and made contact w ith the rail on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

5 Barcia Lady – Checked on the first turn, gave ground entering the home turn and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Phillip Shaxson regarding the greyhound’ performance. Mr Shaxson advised that the greyhound maybe lacking race fitness due to having 5 weeks between runs because of Mr Shaxsons personal circumstances. Mr Shaxson advised its his intention to drop the greyhound back in class and find a race over a more suitable distance going forward. Stewards noted his submissions.

 

 

Race 8 - M & K BUTCHERS 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 520m

 

8 Special Thunder – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen which revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 9 - GREYS4PETS GRADE 5 (1) 431m

 

2 Ivy Pearl – (Beaten favourite) Made contact with the rail entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 10 - RED DOG MECHANIX GRADE 5 (2) 431m

Race 11 - TAB GRADE 5 (3) 431m

 

7 Best Of British – Checked enterin the back straight, became unbalanced entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side pin injury the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

8 Rostron – Became unbalanced entering the back straight, gave ground in the h ome straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Rod Herr regarding the greyhound’s performance, Mr Herr stated the greyhound was having its firs start for the kennel and after trialling well at Ipswich the previous week he was disappointed with the greyhound’s performance. Stewards noted hi submissions.

 

 

Race 12 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM GRADE 5 (4) 431m

 

1 Cosmic Tom Tom – Underwent a pre-race veteri nary examination after falling during the preview and was passed fit to race.

 

2 Lucky Elephant – Eased and turned its head outward approaching the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spo ke to trainer Nathan Evans regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. Af ter considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 1st offence – 28 days stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactor steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

6 Sirius Kyle – Checked entering the back straight, gave ground in the home straigh t. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside shoulder injury the greyhound has been stood down for 21 days.
