Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 2 520m

4 I’m Old School – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after making contact with the catching pen gate, which revealed no significant findings.

7 Bye Bye Swiper – Beaten favourite, slow to begin, checked entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Casey Dargusch regarding the greyhound performance. Mrs Dargusch stated that the greyhound has been trialling well but is still young and inexperienced in a field and after beginning slow and receiving early interference she was not disappointed with the greyhound’s performance. Stewards noted the submissions.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 2 520m

8 Freedom Is - Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen, which revealed no significant findings.

Race 3 - GOLDEN CHASE AUCTION NOMS CLOSE 12/08/23 NOVICE 2 520m

5 Pocket Say Itch – Severely checked on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a spike wound to the near side hind foot, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 3 days.

8 Ripsaw Ruby – Severely checked on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a spike wound to the offside front foot, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 3 days.

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS MIXED M/5 3 630m

8 Underwater - Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a near side shoulder injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MA5 2 520m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 6 - ACCELL THERAPY 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 2 520m

1 Digital Sea – Beaten favourite. A post-race urine sample was obtained.

Race 7 - FEDERAL MORGAN AT STUD 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 2 520m

3 Our Opals – Beaten favourite, checked entering the first turn, tightened entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Gregory Stella regarding the greyhound performance. Mr Stella stated the greyhound is better suited to racing further forward and after being caught wide early he wasn’t disappointed with the greyhound’s performance. Stewards noted his submissions.

5 Lord Yuri – Checked on the first turn. Checked and made contact with the rail shortly after passing the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 8 - EURO PUMPS GRADE 4 2 520m

7 Laughing Les – Severely checked and fell entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed split webbing to the offside front foot, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

Race 9 - IPSWICH LOCAL NEWS GRADE 5 3 630m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 10 - TREMBATH TYRES MIXED 4/5 2 431m

7 Where’s The Ford – Made contact with the rail entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an abrasion to the offside hind leg, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 3 days.
