Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN 431m

 

2 Mum’s Fury – Severely checked on the first turn, checked off heels and became unbalanced making contact with the rail on the home turn then took no further competitive part in the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side pin injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING NOVICE (1) 431m

 

5 Give - Underwent post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 3 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM NOVICE (2) 431m

 

4 Sirius Dawn - Proved difficult to box at the start of the race. Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 106(2) advised trainers representative Annette Broadrick that the greyhound will now be boxed first for future race starts.

 

 

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS GRADE 5 (1) 431m

 

3 Mr. Southbrook – Gave ground in the back straight and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside back muscle injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

 

6 Sirius Zoe – Checked soon after the start, checked entering the back straight, gave ground on the home turn and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side hip injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

 

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MIXED 4/5 431m

 

1 Lady Charm – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after falling in the catching pen which revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 6 - GREYHOUND_DATA.COM GRADE 4 431m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 7 - RED DOG MECHANIX OPEN 431m

 

5 Spring Cedar – Severely checked on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 8 - GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND 4/5 GRADE FINAL MIXED 4/5 431m

 

3 Rio Valour – Beaten favourite. Slow to begin, checked on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

6 Hot Tyson – Checked on the first turn, shifted out and checked on the home turn then gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side shoulder injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

 

Race 9 - GJ WALSH & CO GRADE 5 (2) 431m

 

4 Big Apatite – Slow to begin, severely checked entering the back straight, checked entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

6 Always Broke – Became unbalanced and gave ground entering the home turn. Became unbalanced approaching the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to offside hind leg under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

 

7 Waingro – Beaten favourite. Severely checked entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

8 Top Shelf Toby – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen which revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 10 - FEDERAL MORGAN AT STUD GRADE 5 (3) 431m

 

5 Hey Wags – Severely checked on first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 11 – TAB 5PW 431m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 12 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MA5 431m

 

7 You Orson You – Severely checked on the first turn then trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside hock injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
