4 Burrum Brutus – Checked through the first turn. Turned it’s head inwards towards another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hip and was stood down from racing for 10 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Ricky Hassall regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse (2nd offence) – 28 days stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
