3 Bonnie Cairn Do- Had its heels contacted in the first turn and was checked back through the field. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down from racing for 3 days.
4 I’m All Class- Commenced to weaken abruptly in the back straight and tailed off. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside back muscle and was stood down for 28 days. Stewards ordered that the greyhound must also perform a satisfactory Stewards trial before returning to racing. |

1 Diva Signal- Dislodged its muzzle soon after the start.
6 In Absentia- Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after escaping from its handler prior to the running of the event and was passed fit to race. Stewards spoke with licensed handler Josh Priest regarding the structural integrity of the greyhounds lead and collar. No further action was taken. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside pin muscle and was stood down from racing for 7 days.
7 Lee’s Bonus- Fell after crossing the finish line. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent injuries. |

5 Black Commanche- Checked entering the first turn. Visibly eased racing through the first turn into the back straight when in clear running. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside pin and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr G Stella regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Stella, Stewards deemed Black Commanche had eased and therefore invoked GAR 125(a) Failing to Pursue by reason of injury. Black Commanche must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted. |
