Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN (1) 288m
|
1. Piccolo Girl – Through the back turn was checked, rounding the home turn was checked, entering the home straight was severely inconvenienced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. |

2. Sirius Chanel – Shortly after the start turned its head outwards away from the lure, entering the home straight eased and turned its head inwards taking its attention away the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer D Johnstone regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Johnstone, stewards deemed Sirius Chanel had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Sirius Chanel was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

2. London Star – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside foreleg and was stood down from racing for 60 days. Trainer J King was advised the greyhound must successfully complete a steward’s trial prior to racing next. |

Race 7 - CHASE NEWSPAPER NOVICE (1) 288m |

1. Sorsogon Smile – Through the 1st turn made contact with the running rail. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. |

6. Burrum Rose – Rounding the home turn, turned it head outwards towards another runner taking its attention away the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer L Topping regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Topping, stewards deemed Burrum Rose had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Burrum Rose was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |
