5 Sirius Emly- Shifted out forcing another greyhound wider on the track through the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr D Johnstone regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Johnstone, stewards deemed Sirius Emily had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Sirius Emily was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |

Stewards ordered this race be finished on the lure due to an injured greyhound in the back straight. |

1 Spot Me- Began awkwardly. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.
8 Full Of Cheek- Commenced to weaken entering the back straight and failed to finish the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside back muscle and was stood down from racing for 60 days. Stewards ordered that Full Of Cheek must complete a satisfactory trial before returning to racing. |

6 Glen’s Wish- Severely checked in the first turn causing the greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities. |

Race 6 - ORCHESTRATE AT STUD GRADE 5 (2) 431m |

6 Key To It- Turned its head inwards towards another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr C Curtis regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr C Curtis, stewards deemed Key To It had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Key To It was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |

1 Berry Dutton- (Beaton favourite $1.40) Slow to begin. Unable to gain clear running through the turn out of the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities. Stewards noted the comments made by trainer Mr A Monaghan, in that the greyhound is an intermittent beginner and no further action was taken. |
