3 Forge Ahead- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Peter Young regarding the greyhound’s actions shortly after the start when the greyhound appeared to have turned its head outwards. After reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Young, stewards deemed Forge Ahead had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Forge Ahead was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |

2 Spring Fern- Severely checked and fell through the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.
3 Galloping Black- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Darren Johnstone regarding the greyhound’s actions approaching the finish line when the greyhound appeared to have eased. After reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Johnstone, stewards deemed Galloping Black had eased and acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Galloping Black was charged with Failing to pursue. Galloping Black was suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must complete two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
5 Loose Penny- Severely checked and fell through the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities. |

5 Tuta Duchess- Severely checked entering the turn out of the back a straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the near hind back muscle and was stood down from racing for 10 days.
6 Destini Gazelle- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request which revealed an injury to the near hind foot and was stood down from racing for 42 days. Stewards ordered that Destini Gazelle must complete a satisfactory trial before returning to racing. |
