Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN 288m

5 Stitched Up Jake - Turned it’s head inwards towards another runner soon after the start.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Darren Johnstone regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Failing to purse (1st offence) – 28 days stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 288m

2 Misty Rumble - Late scratching at 9:15am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to a shoulder injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a Veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

5 Zara Go On - Late scratching at 11:53am under the provisions of GAR 86(1) not being presented the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days. Trainer Donna Howarth was fined $200 pursuant to GAR 86(3).

4 Specified – Checked entering the first turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

6 Princess Haven - Checked entering the first turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 7 - GREYHOUND GEAR MIXED 3/4 288m

Race 8 - M & K BUTCHERS BEST 8 288m

1 Lippy Kid – Beaten favourite.  Checked entering the first turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

8 Hooked On Henry – Checked entering the first turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days.

Race 9 - GREYS4PETS 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 288m

Race 10 - TAB 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 GRADE 5 288m

3 Hooked On Cory – Shifted out and raced wide on the home turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

5 Kingsbrae Jill – Turned it’s head outwards and made muzzle contact with another runner in the home straight.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.  Steward’s spoke to trainer Dean Clarson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring – 28 days stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 11 - SKY RACING 5TH GRADE HEAT 5 GRADE 5 288m

3 Give – Severely checked and fell entering the first turn taking no further competitive part in the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

4 Who’s Your Papi – Checked entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

1 It’s Cleo – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

7 Nandina – Shifted out abruptly on the home turn and fell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the neck and hindlimb and was subsequently euthanased.
