Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN (1) 431m

 

4 Wildash Jo Jo – Turned it’s head outwards and made muzzle contact with another runner in the home straight.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

Steward’s spoke to trainer Bob Giltinan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring (1st offence) – 28 days stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN (2) 431m

 

5 Bess Be Good – Checked through the first turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 3 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM NOVICE 431m

 

6 Lenny’s Mate – Made contact with the running rail entering the back turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS BEST 8 431m

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 4 431m

Race 6 - RED DOG MECHANIX MIXED 4/5 431m

 

The start was delayed by approximately 5 minutes due to the boxes not opening.  All greyhounds were removed to undergo a veterinary examination and were passed fit to start prior to being reloaded. 

 

3 Empire Rolls On – Checked entering the back straight and lost ground.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 60 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 7 - GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND 4/5 GRADE HEAT 1 MIXED 4/5 520m

Race 8 - GJ WALSH & CO 4/5 GRADE HEAT 2 MIXED 4/5 520m

 

5 Mr. Fawnstone – Commenced to give ground in the back straight and took no further competitive part in the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

Race 9 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS GRADE 5 (1) 431m

Race 10 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (2) 431m

 

9 Techno Terror – Commenced to give ground entering the first turn and took no further competitive part in the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 21 days.
