Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MDNPW 288m

 

2. Unlimited Beauty – Entering the first turn was checked. Through the first turn eased appearing injured. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings. A secondary veterinarian examination revealed an offside wrist injury and was stood down from racing for 14 days.

 

3. Bremmer Belle – A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN (1) 288m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 3 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRSTY MAIDEN (2) 288m

 

1. Flipper King - Late scratching at 12:22pm pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have an injury during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS MAIDEN (3) 288m

 

1. Aussie Hope – Beaten favourite. Entering the first turn turned its head outwards towards the outside runner. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Gregory Brennan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Failing to purse – 28 days stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

7. Stitched Up Sara – Entering the first turn was checked and then dragged down. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS NOVICE (1) 288m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 6 - FAREWELL STAFF MEMBER LENNY POWELL NOVICE (2) 288m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 7 - CHASE NEWSPAPER NOVICE (3) 288m

 

6. Hooligan Hoon – Entering the first turn was checked. Through the first turn was severely checked and then stumbled. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 8 - GREYHOUND GEAR 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 288m

Race 9 - M & K BUTCHERS BEST 8 288m

 

6. Identity Thief – Entering the first turn was checked. Through the first turn was dragged down and checked. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings

 

Race 10 - GREYS4PETS MIXED 4/5 288m

 

3. Rosdue Tyson - Late scratching at 12:22pm pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have an injury during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory Stewards trial prior to competing next.

 

Race 11 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (1) 288m

 

3. Storm Rose – Entering the first turn was checked and then lost ground appearing injured. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed an off-hind leg injury and was stood down from racing for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory Stewards trial prior to racing next.

 

6. Miner’s Light – Entering the first turn was checked and then fell taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed a near fore bicep strain and was stood down from racing for 14 days.

4. Pat’s Big Boy – Through the first turn shifted out and took its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed a nearside pin muscle injury and was stood down from racing for 10 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer representatives Margaret Cobbin and Pat Cullen regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Failing to purse by reason of injury – 10 day stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
