5 Underwood – Eased and turned its head inwards towards another runner in the home straight. Stewards spoke to trainers representative Ms F Guymer regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Ms Guymer, stewards deemed Underwood had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 2nd offence under this rule Underwood was suspended from racing at all tracks for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |
