5 Wife’s Furious - Late scratching at 9.07am pursuant to GAR 76(2) - Stewards permission.

 

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 431m

 

3 Giddy Up Sally - Late scratching at 12.35pm pursuant to GAR 76(2) - Stewards permission.

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS NOVICE (1) 431m

 

1 Peppa Peppa – Severely checked and made contact with the rail on the first turn, gave ground on the home turn and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a back injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

 

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS NOVICE (2) 431m

 

3 Sky Shine – Checked on the first turn, bumped with another runner entering the home turn. Turned its head outwards towards another runner taking its attention away from the lure entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Steward’s spoke to trainer Ned Snow regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 1st offence – 28 days stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

5 Cookie Express – Checked on the first turn, checked entering the back straight, checked entering the home turn, gave ground on the home turn and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side front dew claw injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

 

 

Race 6 - CHASE NEWSPAPER BEST 8 431m

 

5 Where’s The Bar - Late scratching at 1.55pm pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have neck soreness during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

 

Race 7 - GREYHOUND GEAR NMW 520m

 

All clear was delayed to afford Stewards the opportunity to view the films in relation to a bird on the track in the back straight, after doing so Stewards were comfortable that no greyhound was effected and all clear was given on the judges numbers.

 

3 Whiskey Sour - Late scratching at 10.30am pursuant to GAR 76(2) - seasonal, the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days.

 

4 Brigginshaw – Checked soon after the start, checked entering the first turn, severely checked entering the back straight, severely checked entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 8 - QGOLD FINAL GRADE 5 520m

 

1 Hole In One – Severely checked and fell entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

3 By Order Of – Checked entering the first turn, severely checked and fell entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

4 Pringle Tiger – Severely checked entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

2 Farmor Entitled – Became unbalanced and almost fell soon after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
