Azir – Checked and gave ground rounding the top turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside back muscle injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days and until the completion of one satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |

Birdman - Beaten favourite. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed laceration to the offside leg, no standdown time given. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr J Schmidt regarding the greyhound’s performance, Mr Schmidt stated that the greyhound was returning from a long spell and needed the run. A post-race urine sample was obtained.

All clear was delayed to afford the Stewards the opportunity to view the films in relation to a bird on the track, after doing so Stewards were comfortable that no greyhound was effected and all clear was given on the judges numbers.
Barci Lady – Grave ground in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 10 days. Trainer Mr P Shaxson stated that the greyhound will be retired from racing following today’s event. |

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr G Broadrick regarding the greyhound’s performance, Mr Broadrick stated that he did not financially support the greyhound today and was unable to explain why the short odds were offered. A post-race urine sample was obtained.
