Race 3 - SHIPWRECK AT STUD NOVICE (2) 431m |

1 Sirius Emily – Took its attention away from the lure and towards another runner to its outside in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer D Johnstone regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Johnstone, stewards deemed Sirius Emily had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Sirius Emily was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |
