General:

The Stewards noted an inconsistency in the online representation of the greyhound Bundy Kaz, which appeared in error as Bundy Bubbles on several websites. Nevertheless, for the essential processes of nomination, grading and identity verification, the Stewards where confident that the correct greyhound had been presented in accordance with the national database Ozchase.

Race 1 - SMC MECHANICAL MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 2 520m

3 Billy Cash Kid- Stewards spoke to Mr Chris Brydon, the trainer of Billy Cash Kid, as some noticeable betting fluctuations were noted. Mr Brydon commented that he supported the greyhound and had great confidence in its ability to win against tonight’s field. Mr Brydon was satisfied with the performance, adding that the greyhound ran a new personal best time. A pre-race sample was taken for analysis.

6 Petite Gal- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr Thomas Waldon commented to Stewards that whilst the greyhound shows signs of limited ability at present, its breeding suggests potential for excelling over long distances. Mr Walden expressed his intention to gradually increase the greyhounds racing distance as it career progresses.

7 White Noise- Shifted inwards in the home straight when passing Hill’s Legend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to offside hind foot and was stood down from racing for a period of 7 days. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Ben Mccarthy regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event. After reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Mccarthy, Stewards deemed White Noise had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 125 Failing to Pursue by reason of injury. White Noise was suspended from racing until the successful completion of a satisfactory Steward’s trial.

Race 2 -SPRINGFIELD PAINT & PANEL MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 2 520m

5 Hara’s Kasey- Checked rounding the first turn causing the greyhound to fall and take no further part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed and injury to the nearside front leg and was stood down from racing for 90 days. Stewards ordered that Hara’s Kasey must perform a satisfactory trial before returning to racing.  

Race 3 - JIM LIVINGSTONE FABRICATION 0-3 WINS (1) 3 630m

No significant racing incidents.

Race 4 - SHIMMY SHIMMY WOOSH 0-3 WINS (2) 3 630m

No significant racing incidents.

Race 5 - HORSE CAN'T CATCH NOVICE 2 520m

No significant racing incidents.

Race 6 - ALL-PRO INTERIORS MA5 2 520m

2 Allegation- Commenced to weaken abruptly when racing through the turn off the back straight and retired from the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside hock and was stood down from racing for a period of 90 days. Stewards ordered that Allegation must perform a satisfactory trial before returning to racing. 

Race 7 - GOODNA & DISTRICT RLFC OLD BOYS 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 2 520m

2 Company You Keep- Beaten favourite. Slow to begin. Held up for clearing running entering the first turn and again out of the back straight.

Race 8 - CLUB PARKVIEW 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 2 520m

No significant racing incidents.

Race 9 - GOODNA SIDELINE EATS MIXED 4/5 2 431m

No significant racing incidents.  

Race 10 - KERWICK HOTEL GRADE 5 2 431m

No significant racing incidents.
