1 Space Trip – Turned it’s head inwards towards another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside chest and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Ms Goodwin regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to pursue by reason of injury and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

All clear was delayed affording Stewards the opportunity to view the films in relation to the distance of the lure to the lead greyhound, after doing so Stewards were comfortable that no greyhound was affected and all clear was given on the judges numbers.
