4 Stitched Up Jack – Eased and turned its head to the inside towards another runner on multiple occasions in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities Stewards spoke to trainer M Geraghty regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from M Geraghty, stewards deemed Stitched Up Jack had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 2nd offence under this rule Stitched Up Jack was suspended from racing at all tracks for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |

A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the off side hock and was subsequently stood down for 90 days. Further, the greyhound will be required to complete an injury trial prior to returning to racing.
