6 Gone Walkabout – Turned its head to the inside towards another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near side elbow and was subsequently stood down for 7 days. Stewards spoke to trainers representative Ms J Cutlack regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125(a), failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) Gone Walkabout must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted. |
