2. Firefly Schooner – Late scratching at 9:44am when trainer M Cuneo reported the greyhound to have an illness GAR 76(2). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 76(5) before any future nomination will be accepted.

7 Sirius Giget Commenced to give ground approaching the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to trainers representative Sue Johnstone regarding Sirius Gidget’s racing manners in the home straight. After considering all available evidence stewards took no further action.

9. Nickel White – Late scratching at 9:44am when trainer M Cuneo reported the greyhound to have an illness GAR 76(2). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 76(5) before any future nomination will be accepted.

4. Alpha Sunshine – Late scratching at 9:44am when trainer M Cuneo reported the greyhound to have an illness GAR 76(2). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 76(5) before any future nomination will be accepted.

7 Kokoda Beach A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near side pin, 7 days stand down from racing.

Stewards spoke to trainers representative Beverly Chapman, the handler of Kokoda Beach regarding the greyhound’s racing manners leaving the turn into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 marring Kokoda Beach was found in breach and suspended for 28 days at Ipswich and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127, before any future nomination will be accepted.
