2 Done Your Dash Severely checked and fell entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.
4 Blue Billie Pulled up and turned its head to the outside entering the turn out back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Peter Oreilly, the trainer of Blue Billie regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the turn out of the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue the lure with due commitment Blue Billie was found in breach and suspended for 28 days at Ipswich and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
7 Jeckle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured offside hip a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, C Cauchi regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125(a), failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury Jeckle was found in breach and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
