Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 2 520m |

4 Azir- Checked in the first turn and was forced wide on the track, trailing the field for the remainder of the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside fibular and was stood down from racing for a period of 7 days.
7 Blazing Bronco- Turned its head outwards in the home straight, checking with the runner to is outside. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside hip support and was stood down from racing for a period of 14 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Renald Attard regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. After reviewing the video replay and hearing the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Blazing Bronco did shift its attention towards the greyhound to its outside and therefore invoked GAR 125 FTP with injury. Blazing Bronco must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
8 Not like Us- Checked in the first turn. Checked approaching the finish line. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities. |

2 Flipper King- Eased racing through the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the near side shoulder and was stood down for racing for a period of 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Darren Johnstone regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After reviewing the video replay and hearing the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Flipper King did ease and therefore invoked GAR 125 FTP with injury. Flipper King must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |

4 Comical Hope- Severely checked entering the first turn and trailing the field for remainder of the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities. |
