Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN (1) 431m

1 Sissy Maybelle – Severely checked entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN (2) 431m

9 Mustang Smuggler – Slow to begin, became unbalanced and made contact with the rail entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 4 – QGRC GRADE 5 (1) 431m

7 Freedom Is – Bumped on the first turn, made contact with the rail entering the home turn and again shortly after the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

9 Bedrock – Checked on the first turn then gave ground and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a back strain injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MIXED 4/5 520m

6 Whispering Abbey – Gave ground in the back straight and trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside shoulder injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

Race 6 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE 1-5 WINS HEAT 1 1-5 WINS 520m

7 Tsu’tey - Late scratching at 9.15am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to an offside hip injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a Veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

Race 7 - WEST MORETON PET FOODS 1-5 WINS HEAT 2 1-5 WINS 520m

9 Blackline Pie – Checked entering the first turn, severely checked entering the back straight then trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 8 - M & K BUTCHERS 1-5 WINS HEAT 3 1-5 WINS 520m

3 Edgar Cloggs – Dislodged its muzzle in the boxes.

5 Power Of Whiskey – Went up with the lids, made contact with the rail in the front straight and again entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 9 - GREYHOUND GEAR BEST 8 431m

1 Austrian Jewel - Late scratching at 10.51am pursuant to GAR 92(2) due to illness, the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

Race 10 - TREMBATH TYRES GRADE 3 431m

6 Lamia Milania – Severely checked entering the back straight then trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 11 – TAB GRADE 4 431m

Race 12 - QUEENSLAND GREYHOUND RACING CLUB GRADE 5 (2) 431m

1 Bright Sapphire – Severely checked and made contact with the rail on the first turn then eased and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Steward’s spoke to trainer Paul Graham regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse 1^st offence – 28 days stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

6 Sydney Surcharge – Became unbalanced and gave ground entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside pin injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.
