Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN (1) 288m

 

4. Mason’s Lodge – Approaching the first turn was checked. Entering the first turn improved onto heels then checked and then stumbled. Through the first turn contacted the running rail. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN (2) 288m

 

2. Leisa’s Bundy – Shortly after the start was checked. Entering the first turn was tightened. Through the first turn gave ground appearing injured. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed a nearside pin muscle injury and was stood down from racing for 7 days.

3. Vindaloo - Late scratching at 10:39am pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have signs of being on season during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days.

 

Race 4 - QGRC MAIDEN (4) 288m

 

1. Sirius Charlie ­- Stewards spoke to trainer Darren Johnstone regarding the racing manners of his greyhound along the home straight, after reviewing all available evidence the stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that the greyhound had offended under any rules of racing and no further action was taken.

 

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MAIDEN (5) 288m

 

5. Runs Like Ross – Shortly after the start turned its head inwards towards the inside runners. Entering the first turn was checked and then stumbled. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Stephen Neary regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR124 Failing to pursue – 28 days stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory Steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 6 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE MAIDEN (6) 288m

 

6. Quite Sinister – Entering the first turn was tightened and checked and then stumbled. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings.

 

8. Rhino’s Dreaming – Entering the first turn was checked. Through the first turn was checked. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 7 - CHASE NEWSPAPER MDNPW 288m

 

2. Absolute Class – Entering the first turn was tightened and severely checked and then contacted the running rail. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 8 - GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX PATHWAYS FINAL 5PW 288m

 

8. Cool Hand Jane – Shortly after the start bumped with another runner then checked and then took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed an offside hock sprain and was stood down from racing for 14 days.

 

Race 9 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS NOVICE (1) 288m

 

3. Cyclone Isla – Entering the first turn was checked and then fell taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings.

 

7. Firefly Samantha – Entering the first turn was checked. Through the first turn turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with the outside runner. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer representative Penny Rigg regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR123 Marring – 28 days stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 10 - TAB NOVICE (2) 288m

Race 11 - QUEENSLAND GREYHOUND RACING CLUB NOVICE (3) 288m

 

2. Onslow Beach -- Late scratching at 8:57am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to Illness the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards have received a Veterinary certificate.

 

Race 12 - THE Q 2025 NOVICE (4) 288m

 

4. Fish Finder – Entering the first turn was checked. Through the first turn was checked and turned sideways. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed a near-hind toe laceration and was stood down from racing for 5 days.
