3. Austrian Jewel - Late scratching at 2:37pm pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 3 days.

 

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 520m

Race 6 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 520m

Race 7 - WEST MORETON PET FOODS 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 520m

Race 8 - M & K BUTCHERS 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 GRADE 5 520m

 

7. Billy Cash Jet - Proved difficult to box at the start of the race. Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 106(2) advised trainer Chris Brydon that the greyhound will now be boxed first for future race starts.

 

Race 9 - GREYHOUND GEAR GRADE 4 431m

 

2. Spring Boorowa – Entering the first turn was checked then gave ground taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed an offside back muscle injury and was stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory Stewards trial prior to racing next.

 

7. Cosmos Beauty – Entering the first turn was checked. Entering the back turn was checked and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 10 - TREMBATH TYRES MIXED 4/5 431m

 

5. Queen of Samson – Shortly after start was checked. Approaching the back turn was checked then gave ground taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed an offside hip support injury and weas stood down from racing for 21 days.

 

7. Squeaky Carroll – Shortly after the start was checked. Along the home straight turned its head inwards at the inside runner.  A post-race veterinarian examination revealed a near-hindleg spike wound and was stood down from racing for 5 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Scott Gould regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR125 Failing to pursue by reason of injury – 5 day stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 11 – TAB GRADE 5 (1) 431m

 

3. Percy Two - Proved difficult to box at the start of the race. Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 106(2) advised trainer representative Maggie McCarthy that the greyhound will now be boxed first for future race starts.

 

6. Cake Is Great – Shortly after the start was checked. Entering the first turn was checked and then fell taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 12 - QUEENSLAND GREYHOUND RACING CLUB GRADE 5 (2) 431m
