Race 2 - SKY RACING NOVICE (1) 431m

3 Destini Jethro – Checked rounding the first turn and lost ground. Took several awkward strides rounding the turn off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside wrist and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

2 Odds Are Good – (Beaten favourite) Marginally slow to begin. Raced in restricted room shortly after entering the back straight.

Race 4 – QGRC GRADE 4 431m

4 Tarawi Lee – Faltered in its action rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside back muscle and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 42 days. Tarawi Lee will have to pass a Stewards’ trial prior to any future nomination being accepted.

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 520m

2 My Genie – Faltered in its action shortly after entering the back straight, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hock and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 90 days. My Genie will have to pass a Stewards’ trial prior to any future nomination being accepted.

Race 6 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 520m

2 Cyclone Ranger – Contacted the inside running rail rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near hindleg and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 90 days. Cyclone Ranger will have to pass a Stewards’ trial prior to any future nomination being accepted.

Race 7 - WEST MORETON PET FOODS 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 520m

8 Pearl’s A Singer – Turned its head outwards towards another runner making head and muzzle contact on numerous occasions leaving the turn off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr John McCarthy regarding the greyhound’s racing manners rounding the turn off the back straight. After reviewing the race footage, hearing Mr McCarthy’s submissions, Stewards invoked GAR123 Marring (2^nd offence) and stood down Pearl’s A Singer for 28 days at all tracks plus the completion of a satisfactory trial.

9 Philly Special – Marred by another runner and pushed wide on the track approaching the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
