General: Trainer D Clarson was reminded of his obligations to racing in regards to the dress code.

Race 1 - HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM QGRC MAIDEN (1) 288m

 

2 Jaydah Unleashed Severely checked and fell rounding the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

 

8 Velocity Elenor Took its attention away from the lure and shifted to the outside colliding with another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

 

Stewards spoke to J King, the trainer of Velocity Elenor regarding the greyhound’s racing manners rounding the turn into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue the lure with due commitment Velocity Elenor was found in breach and suspended for 28 days at Ipswich and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

 

Race 2 - LADBROKES RACING CLUB MAIDEN (2) 288m

 

Austria’s Vienna Checked and lost balance rounding the turn into the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

 

 

Race 3 - SKY RACING MAIDEN (3) 288m

 

2 Yogi Unleashed Turned its head to the outside away from the lure at the start of the race. Turned its head to the outside taking its attention away from the lure for the majority of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

 

Stewards spoke to D Pierce, the trainer of Yogi Unleashed regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue the lure with due commitment Yogi Unleashed was found in breach and suspended for 28 days at Ipswich and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

8 Tuta Endless A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

2 Girl Torque Severely checked and fell leaving the turn into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an off hind leg injury, 90 days stand down from racing.
