3 Bugatti Queen – Rounding the home turn eased taking its attention away the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer M Knowles regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Knowles, stewards deemed Bugatti Queen had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Bugatti Queen was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial. |
