8 Reddy Royalty – Shortly after the start blundered. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 288m

 

5 Painted Elk – Shortly after the start was tightened, approaching the 1st turn was inconvenienced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside pin. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

6 Wrong Side Up – Into the 1st turn was severely checked falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hock. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MAIDEN HEAT 5 MAIDEN 288m

 

10 Loosen Up – Into the 1st turn was forced wider on the track. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside pin. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

 

 

 

Race 6 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE MAIDEN HEAT 6 MAIDEN 288m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 7 - CHASE NEWSPAPER MAIDEN HEAT 7 MAIDEN 288m

 

3 Bugatti Queen – Rounding the home turn eased taking its attention away the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer M Knowles regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Knowles, stewards deemed Bugatti Queen had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Bugatti Queen was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

 

7 Slick Sapphire – Rounding the home turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injuries.

 

 

 

Race 8 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MAIDEN HEAT 8 MAIDEN 288m

 

No racing incidents of concern.

 

 

 

Race 9 - LADROKES BLACKBOOK NOVICE (1) 288m

 

6 Kibet – Late scratching at 9:54am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 77). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

 

10 Bella Rye – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside wrist. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
