3 Lakoda Wombat – Checked through the back turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.
8 Ares – Turned its head to the outside runner on numerous occasions entering and through the home straight. Made muzzle contact with the outside runner in the home straight and fell entering the catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer representative B.Dargusch regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring – 28 days stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
