Race 1 - LADBROKES MATES MODE HOSTED POTS MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 431m

 

4 Sandy Bullet – Severely checked and fell entering the first turn. Tailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the off side wrist and was subsequently stood down for 7 days.

 

7 Out Of Control - Severely checked and fell entering the first turn. Failed to complete the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near foreleg. Subsequently, Out Of Control was humanely euthanised.

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 431m

 

No matters of concern to stewards.

3 Kiss And Cuddle - Turned in the boxes and took no competitive part in the race. Subsequently the greyhound must perform a satisfactory trial prior to returning to racing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

 

4 Bobby’s Vision – Severely checked in the top turn and tailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near side hip support and was subsequently stood down for 7 days.

 

Race 4 – QGRC NPW 431m

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS NOVICE 431m

Race 6 - QUEENSLAND GREYHOUND RACING CLUB GRADE 5 (1) 431m

 

2 Percy Two – Checked in the back straight and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

 

7 Minter Deluxe – Checked and commenced to give ground approaching the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the off hind leg and was subsequently stood down for 90 days. Further, the greyhound will be required to complete an injury trial prior to next racing.

 

Race 7 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE MIXED 4/5 431m

 

6 Surf Size Queen – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

 

Race 8 - GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND PATHWAYS FINAL 5PW 431m

 

8 Lone Pilot – Turned its head to the outside towards another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer K Perrett regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Perrett, stewards deemed Lone Pilot had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 2nd offence under this rule Lone Pilot was suspended from racing at all tracks for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

 

Race 9 - JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS GRADE 5 (2) 431m

Race 10 - LADBROKES PUNTER ASSIST GRADE 5 (3) 431m

 

1 Box Cutter – Checked approaching the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

 

Race 11 - GJ WALSH & CO MA5 (1) 431m

 

1 Give Me Donuts – Put in an awkward stride in the top turn. Tailed the filed for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near side back muscle and was subsequently stood down for 28 days. Further, the greyhound will be required to complete a satisfactory trial prior to racing.

 

8 Pierce – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

 

Race 12 - RED DOG MECHANIX MA5 (2) 431m

 

4 Blazing Smoke – A post-race veterinary examination found the greyhound to have collapsed in the catching pen post-race and was subsequently stood down for 90 days. Further, Blazing Smoke must perform a satisfactory stewards trial prior to returning to racing.
