3 Lavana Lee – Severely checked in the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
4 Wise Style – Eased and turned its head outwards approaching the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer R Hazlegrove regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Hazelgrove, stewards deemed Wise Style had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Wise Style was suspended from racing at the Q1 Lakeside for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.
6 More Ghostly – Severely checked and fell in the first turn. Tailed the for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. |
