Race Reports

 

Race 1 – WENDY MULRY TRAVEL NOVICE – 407M

 

ZAFONIC SPIRIT was slow into stride.

EL MANGOS and FIESTY SENORITA bumped on two occasions coming around the home turn.

 

Race 2 – NEWS EXPRESS ROCKHAMPTON 5TH GRADE (1) – 407M

 

ZAMBORA CAITLYN and HALBER TAG bumped at the start and again shortly after.

Shortly after the start FIVE FORTY shifted out abruptly and bumped heavily with WHINGING WILKO resulting in WHINGING WILKO checking and losing ground.

FIVE FORTY raced wide throughout.

 

Race 3 – PATLAW SECURITIES 5TH GRADE (2) – 407M

 

MISS WILDWEST and BONITTO were slow into stride, bumped each other in the back straight and lost ground.

MISS WILDWEST raced wide for the second half of the race

 

Race 4 – THE JACKSON FAMILY 4TH GRADE – 407M

 

ROMAN SAND and SPEED ACTION were both slow into stride.

DOULE TAP, MAGIC BENZ and CHANDON HAWKE all bumped approaching the first turn and all lost ground.

CHANDON HAWKE run into the back of DOUBLE TAP leaving the back straight.

CHANDON HAWKE and ROMAN SAND bumped in the home straight.

ROMAN SAND underwent a veterinary inspection after the race and was found to be suffering an injury to the off hind leg and was subsequently stood down from racing for10 days.

 

Race 5 – THE BUBE FAMILY 0-3 WINS – 510M

 

HACIENDA was slow into stride.

MASTER CARD and BETTA BE BUNDY bumped on the first turn.

ARE JAY LOCHIE shifted out wide going around the first turn and continued to race wide for the remainder of the race.

 

Race 6 – PATRICK PATERSON MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 510M

 

Due to the lure falling off approximately 30 metres after the start and numerous greyhounds changing stride and slowing at the fallen lure stewards had no alternative but to declare the race a no race. Stewards also advised all monies invested on the race to be refunded.

 

Race 7 – DINKY DI WEB DESIGN MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 407M

 

FAWN ERUPTOR and HAPPY PANTERA bumped at the start.

Shortly after the start COPYIST shifted out and bumped LILY BOSWEL.

COPYIST checked off the back of SNAP ONE OFF coming around the home turn.

 

Race 8 – DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL BEST 8 – 407M

 

DREAM BIGGER was slow into stride.

PROSPECT and LOGICAL OPTION bumped at the start.

DREAM BIGGER checked off the back of BILLY CONGO early in the back straight.

DANCE WITH WOLF raced wide throughout.

 

Race 9 – ROCKY FEED and SEED 5th Grade – 407M

 

SAHARA GIRL and JIMMY’S REWARD were both slow to begin.

HIGHWAY GIRL checked outwards across the back of SNOWBALL SHIRL going around the first corner.

Shortly after entering the back straight RAPID MAIL commenced to lose ground and finished the race well back.

RAPID MAIL underwent a veterinary inspection after the race and was found to be suffering an injury to the off hind leg and was subsequently stood down from racing for10 days.

SAHARA GIRL underwent a veterinary inspection after the race and was found to be suffering an injury to both hind legs and was subsequently stood down from racing for10 days.

 

Race 10 – SANDAL WELDING MA5 – 407M

 

NAUGHTY NALA and IRONPOT SMASH were both slow into stride.

After entering the back straight PASSIVE PROTEST commenced to lose ground and finished the race well back. PASSIVE PROTEST underwent a veterinary inspection after the race and was found to be suffering an injury to the off hind leg muscle and was subsequently stood down from racing for14 days.

IRONPOT SMASH raced wide throughout.

When trainer Mark Bube was questioned in regards to the improved performance of MYSTERIOUS ROSE he stated that MYSTERIOUS ROSE had received bumps in her last 3 starts and that tonight she found clear running throughout the race. He also stated that four starts back MYSTERIOUS ROSE ran a good third with a clear run.
