Race 1 –DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL | MAIDEN | 407M

 

RED BRIANNA and GOTCHA MAN bumped at the start,

ICY RED was slow to begin.

RED BRIANNA checked outwards off the back of MAUI BEACH entering the back straight.

MAUI BEACH which finished well back underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned by stewards in regards to the poor performance by MAUI BEACH trainer Andrew Suli stated it was his intention to recommend to the owners that MAUI BEACH be retired. Subsequently trainer Andrew Suli was advised MAUI BEACH must perform a trial before to the satisfaction of stewards before starting again.

 

Race 2 –ROCKHAMPTON NEWSEXPRESS | NOVICE | 407M

 

STILTED CHATTER was slow into stride.

ARE JAY JEAN checked off EL MANGOS entering the back straight.

It was noticed that the muzzle on EL MANGOS was hanging from its neck coming down the home straight.

 

Race 3 –WENDY MULRY TRAVEL | 5TH GRADE | 407M

 

CRACKERJACK RUBY and LONG SHOTS bumped at the start.

CHANCE ME BRO was slow to begin.

Going around the first turn CRACKERJACK RUBY shifted out and checked HIGH WATER.

Leaving the back straight CHANCE ME BRO checked severely after running into the back of CRACKERJACK RUBY.

 

After finishing well back CHANCE ME BRO underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 –DINKY DI WEB DESIGN | FFA | 510M

 

VINCERO and HACIENDA were both slow into stride.

In the home straight RED JAMIE was bumped heavily by VINCERO.

 

Race 5 –SANDAL WELDING | 5THGRADE | 407M

 

GOTCHA INTEGRITY and VELOCITY KYINKA bumped at the start then shortly after VELOCITY KYINKA shifted out abruptly and bumped heavily with HARA’S DASH resulting in both greyhounds checking and losing ground.

VELOCITY KYINKA and MYSTERIOUS ROSE bumped on the home turn.

Approaching the finish line HAY BONUS which finished second was marred by the winner GOTCHA INTEGRITY.

Following the race GOTCHA INTEGRITY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Trainer Lindsay McCarthy was advised that GOTCHA INTEGRITY was barred from racing for a period of 28 days and must perform a trial before to the satisfaction of stewards before starting again.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 6 –GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND | 4THGRADE | 407M

 

LA QUINTA and ADHARA BAY were the slowest to begin.

ESOTERIC and LA QUINTA bumped going around the first turn resulting in ESOTERIC dipping and losing considerable ground.

Leaving the back straight LINRICK shifted out wide on the track and in doing so hampered ADHARA BAY.

LINRICK has then raced extremely wide for the remainder.

 

ESOTERIC underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 –PATLAW SECURITIES | MIXED 3/4 | 407M

 

BOKARM LEO was extremely slow to begin.

DREAM BIGGER and COPYIST bumped shortly after the start.

DREAM BIGGER was checked by SCOTT THE HOOK leaving the back straight.

SNAP ONE OFF and MAYHEM MAGIC bumped coming around the home turn.

 

DREAM BIGGER which finished well back underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an sore near shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 8 –NEW YEARS SPRINT | FFA | 407M

 

The start of the race was delayed by 4 minutes when it was discovered in the parade area that ABLAZE which was trained and handled by Christine Pollard had the 5 rug on instead of the 4 rug.

BILLY CONGO and PROSPECT bumped at the start.

Shortly after the start BILLY CONGO shifted out sharply and bumped PROSPECT then continued outwards bumping with EDGY resulting in BILLY CONGO losing ground.

In the back straight FAWN ERUPTOR checked outwards across the back of DAZZLER’S HANGAR.

 

BILLY CONGO underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured off fore tendon and was stood down for a period of 90 days.

 

 

Race 9 – RACE NAME | GRADE | DISTANCE

 

Clean start.

Shortly after the start BETTA BE BUNDY shifted and checked across the back of CARLO SCORCHO.

BETTA BE BUNDY raced wide for the majority.
