Race Reports

 

Race 1 –WAYNE CLIFFORD MAIDEN 407Metres

 

MULLIGANS BEACH was extremely slow to begin.

EAGLE BEACH was slow into stride.

Shortly after the start ARE JAY SMILEY shifted out across SWIFT DOLL causing SWIFT DOLL to check.

Entering the back straight ARE JAY SMILEY has turned and slowed when going past LIVE IN HOPE.

In the middle of the back straight ARE JAY SMILEY slowed and turned its head towards the greyhounds racing on the rail.

Leaving the back straight ARE JAY SMILEY slowed.

ARE JAY SMILEY propped and slowed coming around the home turn.

ARE JAY SMILEY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Trainer Darren Taylor was advised that ARE JAY SMILEY was barred from racing for a period of 28 Days and must pass a satisfactory stewards trial for failing to pursue the lure with commitment during the event.

 

Race 2 –GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 407Metres

 

RED BRIANNA and VELOCITY PIPPA were both slow into stride.

 

Race 3 –WENDY MULRY TRAVEL RESTRICTED 0 – 3 WINS510Metres

 

OVER TIME was slow into stride.

HARA’S DASH and OVER TIME bumped going around the turn going into the back straight.

MADAM CAMBLA raced wide for the majority.

 

Race 4 –ROCKY FEED AND SEED 5th GRADE 407Metres

 

QUICKFIRE GIRL was slow into stride.

BOKARM LEO raced wide throughout.

 

Race 5 –DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL 5thGRADE 407Metres

 

JIMMY’S REWARD and MR MICKEY were slow to begin.

GODDESS MACHA checked off the back of ARE JAY JEAN in the back straight.

CRACKERJACK RUBY was checked severely by GIRLS ON FIRE shortly after leaving the back straight.

CRACKERJACK RUBY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found

 

Race 6 –DIPLOCK'S COLLISION AND REPAIR CENTRE 3rd&4th  GRADE 407Metres

 

MISS WILDWEST and BONITTO were slow into stride.

FIVE FORTY checked off the back of SNAP ONE OFF going around the first turn.

MISS WILDWEST raced wide for the majority.

 

Race 7 –PATLAW SECURITIES  4th& 5thGRADE 407Metres

 

IRISH SPICE was slow to begin.

Entering the back straight CATER STREET shifted out and bumped ZAMBORA PRIDE.

 

Race 8 –THE CHASE MAGAZINE BEST 8 407Metres

 

COPYIST was slow into stride.

TAJO and GRACIOUS LADY bumped shortly after the start resulting in both greyhounds checking and losing ground.

TRIP DANCER checked off the back of COPYIST coming around the home turn.

DENEHOLME DASHER underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 – SANDAL WELDING4th & 5th  GRADE 510Metres

 

MERLOT HAYZE and ESOTERIC were both slow to begin.

Going around the first corner MERLOT HAYZE checked outwards off the back of ENOUGH KNOWLEDGE and in doing so has forced ESOTERIC extremely wide on the track.

HARA’S SKYLARK checked off the back of MAYHEM MAGIC in the back straight.

MERLOT HAYZE raced wide for the majority.

 

Race 10 –THE JACKSON FAMILY 5th GRADE 407Metres

 

WILBY AWESOME was extremely slow to begin.

HACIENDA was very slow into stride.

Going around the first turn EXCITABLE ANGEL shifted out and bumped DREAM BIGGER.

EXCITABLE ANGEL commenced to lose ground after leaving the back straight and finished the race well back and was sent for a veterinary examination and was found to have an injured off fore wrist, as a result was stood down from racing for period of 14 days.

WILBY AWESOME finished the race well back and was sent for a veterinary examination and was found to have injured back muscles, as a result was stood down from racing for period of 14 days.
