Other Comments / Explanations: Trainer Darryl McGrath Stewards questioned Trainer Darryl McGrath regarding the circumstances surrounding his runners from today’s meeting being scratched. Mr McGrath advised Stewards that early this morning he was informed he would be required to attend urgent business matters and as a consequence would not be able to present his greyhounds for racing. Stewards accepted his explanation. Trainer Noel Patterson Stewards reminded Trainer Noel Patterson of the expectations of a licensee in relation to their conduct while at a race meeting.
Race 1 - NEWSXPRESS RICHARDSON ROAD MAIDEN 407m 1 Dr. Braelyn – Slow to begin. 3 Cyclone Lass – Hampered shortly after the start. 5 Storm Ahead – Tightened shortly after the start. Race 2 – ROCKY FEED AND SEED NOVICE 407m 2 Olivia’s Opal – Hampered rounding the first turn. Forced wider in the home straight. 3 See Them Try – Slow to begin. Tightened and lost ground entering the first turn. Forced wider in the home straight. 4 Xork Allen – Hampered rounding the first turn. Shifted out in the home straight. 6 Just For Jake – Slow to begin. Tightened and lost ground entering the first turn. 7 Crown Yasmine – Tightened and hampered rounding the first turn. Race 3 – PATLAW SECURITIES 4th & 5th GRADE 510m 2 Speed Action – Bumped heavily rounding the first turn. 6 Headliner – Slow to begin. Tightened and checked rounding the first turn losing significant ground. 7 Koda Keeper – A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 4 – DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL BEST 8 407m 2 Digger’s Cove – Slow to begin. Hampered and lost ground in the early stages of the back straight. 4 Long Shots – Marginally slow to begin. Hampered and lost ground in the early stages of the back straight. 6 Dude of Duds – Hampered and lost ground in the early stages of the back straight. 7 Crickets Dash – Hampered and lost ground in the early stages of the back straight. 8 Velocity Agnetha – Slow to begin. Race 5 – ROCKHAMPTON YOUNG GUNS (HEAT 1) 407m 2 Andover – Tightened and lost ground leaving the first turn. Shifted out and bumped another runner leaving the home turn. 4 Crown Xena – Tightened and lost ground leaving the first turn. Bumped leaving the home turn. 8 Chopper’s Chance – Bumped leaving the first turn. Race 6 – ROCKHAMPTON YOUNG GUNS (HEAT 2) 407m 3 Boston Honey – Hampered in the back straight when racing on the heels of another runner. 5 Giggling Sal – Bumped and hampered rounding the first turn. 6 Super Hard – Bumped shortly after the start. 7 Takura Tornado – Slow to begin. Race 7 – ROCKHAMPTON YOUNG GUNS (HEAT 3) 407m 3 What Say You – Checked from heels in the early stages of the back straight. 4 John Strachin – Tightened and checked rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a strain in the lumbar sacral region and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days. 5 Blue Print – Hampered rounding the first turn. 7 El Mime – Bumped heavily shortly after the start. 9 Remember Col – Tightened and checked rounding the first turn. Race 8 – ROCKHAMPTON YOUNG GUNS (HEAT 4) 407m 1 Mia Sure Can – Checked across heels entering the home straight. 4 Really Royal – Slow to begin. 5 Purdi Villa – Shifted out in the early stages of the back straight. 8 Daniel’s Loss – Slow to begin. Checked and significantly hampered in the early stages of the back straight when avoiding another runner shifting out. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. 10 Treasure’s Lad – Slow to begin. Severely hampered in the early stages of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to be sore in the near side neck and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days. Race 9 – DIPLOCKS COLLISION REPAIR CENTRE 4th & 5th GRADE 407m 1 Prompt – Slow to begin. 2 Speed to Burn – Slow to begin. Tightened and lost ground rounding the first turn. Bumped leaving the home turn. 3 Rule the Road – Tightened and lost ground rounding the first turn. Bumped leaving the home turn. 8 Socialiser – Slow to begin. Checked across heels rounding the home turn. Race 10 – WENDY MULRY TRAVEL 5th GRADE 407m 1 Dyna Raze – Tightened and lost ground rounding the home turn. 6 Miss Wildwest – Hampered and lost ground rounding the first turn. 7 Dazzler’s Hanger – Hampered and lost ground rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to be showing signs of poor recovery. |
