Race 1 - NEWSXPRESS RICHARDSON ROAD NOVICE 407m 1 See Them Try, checked off heels and lost ground going around the first corner. 5 Special System, was checked and shifted out wide coming around the home corner. 6 Xork Allen, was slow into stride. 8 Mia Sure Can, raced wide throughout. 9 Sheza Code Blue, raced wide for the majority.
Race 2 – ROCKY FEED AND SEED P5 407m 1 Nimble Nanook, proved hard to box, dipped at the start and lost ground, was bumped heavily coming around the home corner. Was sent for a post race veterinary examination and no injuries were found. 3 Angry Juice, shifted out abruptly shortly after the start hampering other greyhounds. 5 Are Jay Jean, checked and lost ground going around the first corner. 9 Crown Xena, was hampered shortly after the start.
Race 3 – PATLAW SECURITIES 4/5 407m 2 Campfire Kid, checked severely and lost considerable ground going around the first corner, shifted out across heels coming around the home corner. 3 Apollo’s Warrior, was slow to begin. 5 Special Speed, was slow to begin. 6 Crickets Dash, checked and lost ground going around the first corner and was checked again leaving the back straight. 7 Socialiser, was slow to begin. Race 4 – DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL 3rd& 4th GRADE 407m 1 Mon Manny Beach, was sent for a post race veterinary examination and no injuries were found. 3 Cisco Sniper, checked and lost ground in the back straight 5 Velocity Pippa, was slow to begin. 6 Rule The Road, was slow to begin. Race 5 – DIPLOCKS COLLISION REPAIR CENTRE RW 510m 1 Birmingham Lass, shifted out going around the first turn hampering Blue Fernando for some distance. 2 Blue Fernando, was hampered going around the first turn by Birmingham Lass for some distance. 4 Pink Sands, was slow to begin 5 Dr Braelyn, was slow into stride and raced wide throughout. 7 Our Funhouse, going around the first turn moved in and made contact with another runner and shortly after commenced to shorten stride and pulled up in the back straight taking no further part in the race. Was sent for a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a badly injured left hind hock and suspected ligament damage. Strapping was applied to the injured leg and Our Funhouse and was also given pain relief by the veterinary surgeon. Trainer Christine Pollard was advised that Our Funhouse was stood down from racing for 150 days.
Race 6 – AUSTRALIA DAY CUP 510m 3 Rose Ali, raced wide throughout and bumped with another runner on the home turn. 4 Tuta Sherry, bumped another runner at the start and bumped with another runner on the home turn. 7 Waltzing Danube, bumped another runner at the start. Race 7 – WENDY MULRY TRAVEL BEST 8 407m 2 Long Shots, was slow into stride 4 Dude Of Duds, checked in the back straight and raced wide throughout. 5 Digger’s Cove, was extremely slow to begin. 6 Red Jamie, was slow into stride 7 Over Time, shortly after the start was squeezed between two runners and as a result suffered a heavy fall and finished the race well back. Was sent for a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right hind leg. Trainer Darren Taylor was advised that Over Time was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days. Race 8 – ROCKHAMPTON YOUNG GUNS FINAL 407m 2 Tuta Time, run onto heels leaving the back straight. 5 Johnny Harks, was checked going around the first turn. 6 Longhill Lad, was hampered going around the first turn 8 Velocity Cara, was slow to begin, was bumped heavily coming around the home turn and shifted in abruptly across other runners at the top of the straight. Race 9 – SKY RACING GRADE 5 407m 4 Hacienda, was slow to begin and was bumped on numerous occasions coming around the home turn. 5Vigilante, was hampered going around the first turn and bumped another runner coming around the home turn. 8 Loves Me Not, was slow to begin 9 Dyna Raze, commenced to lose ground in the back straight and finished the race well back. Was sent for a post race veterinary examination and was found to have injured hind legs and was stood down from racing for 14 days.
Race 10 – TAB GRADE 5 407m 1 Miss Maia, shifted out wide on the first turn checking other runners. 2 Miss Wildwest, was checked approaching the home turn. 3 Angry Angus, was checked going around the first turn. 5 Peppa Jewel, was slow to begin. 6 Limerick Prince, was checked going around the first turn. 7 Chopper’s Chance, was slow to begin and was checked going around the first turn.
