General:

Following consistent rain from 5:00am Stewards conducted a track inspection at 10:00am and deemed to the track to be heavy from the rain. Stewards were also concerned with tyre marks on the racing surface made by a buggy driven by the track manager. Club officials were notified of the condition of the track from the rain and tyre marks. The decision was made to conduct another track inspection at 1:00pm this was to give the club time to try and repair the tyre marks on the wet track. Stewards conducted a further inspection and 1:00pm and following more persistent rain found the track to be very heavy and water logged. With the prediction of the rain to continue for several more hours Stewards were left with no option but to cancel the race meeting.
