General:

Trainers N Bradford and K Perrett were fined $50 each for failing to produce the greyhound identification cards for their respective greyhounds Lone Shadow and Lone Dancer.

Race 1 - ROCKHAMPTON MAIDEN 1000 HEAT 1 MAIDEN 407m

1 Lone Shadow – Marginally slow to begin. Hampered rounding the first turn. Held up for short distance in the later stages of the back straight.

3 Texas Moonshine – Slow to begin. Tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.

6 Serenade Me – Tightened and lost ground rounding the first turn.

7 Maximum Ivy – Shifted out rounding the home turn to avoid the heels of another runner.

8 Sunburnt Harlem – Slow to begin.

Race 2 - ROCKHAMPTON MAIDEN 1000 HEAT 2 MAIDEN 407m

1 Sunburnt Zara – Shifted out on jumping. Tightened and lost ground rounding the first turn.

2 Love You Crystal – Tightened and lost ground shortly after the start. Hampered rounding the home turn.

3 Wheelhouse – Tightened and lost ground shortly after the start. 

4 Suite Nita – Failed to handle the home turn and shifted wide on the track.

6 Brindle Style – Shifted out on jumping. Checked from heels rounding the first turn.

7 Lone Dancer – Tightened and lost ground shortly after the start. Hampered and lost ground rounding the first turn.

8 Pixie My Love – Hampered rounding the home turn.

Race 3 - TAB NOVICE 407m

2 Farmor Saloons – Shifted out shortly after the start.

3 After All – Tightened rounding the first turn.

4 Cheeky Thing – Tightened rounding the first turn.

5 Moonlit Krystal – Tightened rounding the first turn. Held up rounding the rounding the home turn and for a short distance in the home straight.

6 Willy Eve – Tightened rounding the first turn.

7 Suite Lexie – Shifted in rounding the first turn. Stubbled shortly after and failed to finish the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the ground to have suffered an injury to its right shoulder. The greyhound was treated by the veterinarian and stood down from racing for a period of 14 days.

8 Lumen Scar – Severely checked and lost ground rounding the first turn.

Race 4 - DIPLOCK'S COLLISION REPAIR CENTRE GRADE 5 407m

1 Bunya Beauty – Slow into stride.

2 Birmingham Lass – Tightened and lost ground leaving the first turn.

5 Joffa's Mayhem – A post-race veterinary examination revealed abrasions to the greyhound’s right hind leg.

Race 5 - ROCKY FEED & SEED GRADE 5 407m

3 Reserved – Checked and lost ground entering the home turn.

5 Archie Harks – Checked and lost ground rounding the first turn. Commenced to give ground leaving the home turn and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer’s representative C Harker was advised that the greyhound must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards and would be stood down from racing at Rockhampton over 407 metres for a period of 28 days.

6 Reservation – Slow to begin.

Race 6 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 4 407m

5 Oriental Ollie – Tightened and lost significant ground rounding the first turn.

6 Merlin's Missile – Tightened and lost ground rounding the first turn.

Race 7 - DINKY DI WEB DESIGN GRADE 5 510m

1 Blazing Penske – Slow into stride.

3 My Bro Beach – Tightened and lost ground in the middle stages of the back straight.

5 Inga April – Bumped heavily rounding the first turn.

7 Lektra Dude – Forced wider over the concluding stages.

8 Dr. Braelyn – Slow into stride. Raced wide rounding the first turn. Shifted out in the home straight.

Race 8 - NEWSXPRESS RICHARDSON ROAD BEST 8 407m

3 Mexicali Jane – Tightened and lost ground rounding the first turn.

4 Velocity Summit – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have a laceration to the artery above the left hind hock and was stood down for a period of 10 days. A pressure bandage was applied by the veterinarian.

5 Klemmer Banner – Tightened and lost ground in the early stages of the back straight.

Race 9 - SANDAL WELDING MIXED 4/5 407m

3 Chopper's Chance – Tightened and lost ground leaving the first turn.

4 Lone Cowboy – Tightened and lost ground leaving the first turn.

6 Until Late – Slow to begin. Tightened and lost ground rounding the first turn.

Race 10 - WENDY MULRY TRAVEL MA5 407m

1 Digger's Cove – Slow to begin.

3 Under Advice – Raced tight with another runner for a short distance rounding the home turn before falling. Finished the event well back. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to be suffering from split webbing, possible broken toes and severe lacerations to the left hind foot. Treatment and pain relief was administered by the veterinarian. Trainer K Perrett was directed by Stewards to present Under Advice for veterinary attention and x-rays within 24 hours.
