General:

Licensed handler Mr Declan Taylor pleaded guilty under the terms of GAR156(f)(ii) for misconduct. The misconduct being that on Saturday 31^st December 2022 Mr Declan Taylor did trial the greyhound Off Break at approximately 11:45am at the Rockhampton Greyhound Club official trials. Off Break was scratched earlier that morning at 9:56am prior to the start of Race 6 by Stewards acting on veterinary advice, furthermore Off Break was stood down from racing for 5 days. The inquiry was adjourned to a time and date to be fixed in respect of any penalty that may be handed down.

Race 2 - SKY RACING NOVICE 407m

1 Prince Danube, dipped at the start.

2 Double Tara, checked and lost ground going around the first turn.

4 Rosa's Routine, checked and lost ground going around the first turn.

5 Summer Weeds, checked and lost ground in the back straight.

7 Double Buck, checked and lost ground going around the first turn and checked again coming around the home turn.

8 Wild Dash Zip, checked and lost ground in the back straight.

1 Rosa's Legend, checked and lost ground going around the first turn.

2 Zipping Mork, slow to begin and checked and lost ground going around the first turn.

4 Double Espresso, checked and lost ground going around the first turn.

Race 4 - WENDY MULRY TRAVEL GRADE 5 (2) 407m

4 Dynamic One, very slow to begin.

6 Semiyon, was hampered leaving the back straight.

Race 5 - ROCKY FEED & SEED MIXED 4/5 407m

6 Suite Nita, raced wide throughout.

7 Dad's News, very slow to begin.

8 Perfect Mate, raced wide throughout.

Race 6 - DIPLOCK'S COLLISION REPAIR CENTRE GRADE 4 407m

3 Deadly Choice, checked and lost ground going around the first turn.

6 He's Nosey, slow away.

7 Danish Cake, Shortly after entering the home straight shifted in and marred another runner. Stewards spoke with trainer Andrew Suli regarding the racing manners of Danish Cake in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Danish Cake was charged with marring second offence. Danish Cake was barred from racing for 28 days and must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted

8 Mystery Train, slow away, dropped out in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed a puncture wound to the right hind foot.

Race 7 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 5 510m

2 Baby Thor, bumped with another runner leaving the back straight.

3 Blue Jeans Talk, raced wide throughout.

5 Mean Pop, bumped with another runner in the back straight.

6 Floyd's Fury, very slow to begin and raced wide throughout.

8 Barooga Franky, slow to begin and raced wide throughout.

Race 8 - NEWSXPRESS RICHARDSON ROAD BEST 8 407m

3 Ring Me, slow away and checked and lost ground entering the back straight.

4 Bank Heist, slow to begin and bumped another runner coming around the home turn.

5 Velocity Kayla, checked and lost ground entering the back straight.

7 Zip Stream, was bumped out wide coming around the home turn.

Race 9 – TAB GRADE 5 (3) 407m

1 Rosa's Memory, slow to begin.

3 Zambora Chief, raced wide throughout.

5 Queen Norma, checked and lost ground in the back straight.

7 Misunderstood, slow to begin.

8 Hit List, slow to begin and checked and lost ground in the back straight.

1 Fire And Grace, checked and lost ground in the back straight.

4 Tarawi Opal, coming around the home turn shifted out abruptly and checked other runners.

6 Petite Olga, was checked coming around the home turn.

7 Mean Sam, slow to begin and was checked coming around the home turn.
