General:

A Stewards inquiry was reconvened from 3rd January 2023 where licensed handler Mr Declan Taylor pleaded guilty under the terms of GAR156(f)(ii) for misconduct when trialling the greyhound Off Break on Saturday 31^st December 2022.

Stewards deemed an appropriate penalty to be the suspension of Mr Taylors for a period of 6 months. Furthermore acting under the terms of GAR174(3) Stewards elected to suspend 3 months of the suspension for a period of 2 years should Mr Taylor not reoffend in that period.

Mr Declan Taylor’s was also found guilty under the terms of GAR156(h) for failing to obey the direction of Stewards at Callaghan Park racetrack on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.

Stewards deemed an appropriate penalty to be a suspension of his license for a period of

2 months. Stewards ordered both penalties to be served concurrently and his suspension was to commence midnight 11^th January 2023 and conclude at midnight on 11^th April 2023.

Mr Taylor was advised his right to an Internal Review.

Race 1 - ROCKHAMPTON MAIDEN 1000 HEAT 1 MAIDEN 407m

2 Magani, checked and lost ground in the back straight and was checked heavily coming around the home turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

4 Sunburnt Dejango, checked and lost ground in the back straight.

5 Chase Me Lady, bumped heavily with another runner coming around the home turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

6 Baby Beau, slow to begin and was severely checked coming around the home turn resulting in falling and finishing the race well back. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

7 Starlight Swift, slow to begin and was checked coming around the home turn.

Race 2 - ROCKHAMPTON MAIDEN 1000 HEAT 2 MAIDEN 407m

3 Little Hercules, slow to begin.

4 From The Shire, checked and lost ground in the back straight.

6 Lone Hunter, checked in the back straight.

7 More Peaches, In the home straight shifted out and marred another runner. Stewards spoke with trainer Michael Boody regarding the racing manners of More Peaches in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, More Peaches was charged with marring first offence. More Peaches was barred from racing for 28 days and must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted

8 Rosa's Dance, slow to begin.

Race 3 - DINKY DI WEB DESIGN NOVICE 407m

1 Prince Danube, checked and lost ground in the back straight.

3 Double Tara, slow to begin and checked and lost ground in the back straight.

4 Rosa's Routine, slow to begin and raced wide for the majority.

6 Last Date, extremely slow to begin.

8 Shona's Fury, bumped with another runner in the home straight.

9 Thriller Strike (5), bumped with another runner in the home straight.

Race 4 - WENDY MULRY TRAVEL GRADE 5 (1) 407m

4 Emerald Swift, checked and lost ground in the back straight.

5 Systems Down, raced wide for the majority.

6 Broombrae Blaze, slow to begin.

7 Zipping Mork, extremely slow to begin.

Race 5 - ROCKY FEED & SEED MIXED 3/4 407m

1 Yuri Magic, going around the first turn shifted out and bumped another runner.

3 Mexicali Jane, going around the first turn was bumped by another runner.

5 Saron, raced wide throughout. A post race veterinary examination revealed a strained lumbar muscle.

7 Angel Harks, raced wide for the majority.

Race 6 - DIPLOCK'S COLLISION REPAIR CENTRE MIXED 1/2 407m

3 Bank Heist, checked and lost ground shortly after the start.

4 Velocity Kayla, checked and lost ground shortly after the start.

5 Zip Stream, raced very wide for the majority dropped out after leaving the back straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

6 Erskin Boy, checked leaving the back straight.

7 Tokyo Chief, checked and lost ground approaching the home turn.

Race 7 - COUNTRY CUP HEAT 1 OPEN 510m

4 Easy Eddie, checked outwards going around the first turn.

7 Mean Pop, slow to begin.

8 San Marco, raced wide throughout.

Race 8 - COUNTRY CUP HEAT 2 OPEN 510m

2 Blue Jeans Talk, was bumped by another runner coming around the home turn and down the home straight.

4 White Like Snow, Approaching the home turn and entering the home straight slowed and turned its head to the outside. Stewards spoke with trainer Ken Boody regarding the racing manners of White Like Snow approaching the home turn and entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, White Like Snow was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment first offence. White Like Snow was barred from racing for 28 days and must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

6 Black Delight, bumped another runner at the start and run into hind legs going around the first turn.

8 Five Putt Cal, bumped another runner at the start and was checked in the hind legs going around the first turn.

Race 9 - NEWSXPRESS RICHARDSON ROAD GRADE 4 407m

4 Nomad Road, checked and lost ground entering the back straight.

5 Striking Stare, checked and lost ground entering the back straight.

6 Deadly Choice, raced wide throughout.

8 Atomic Len, very slow to begin.

Race 10 - TAB MIXED 4/5 407m

1 Tokyo Dreamer, slow to begin.

5 Shakey Country, slow to begin and raced wide throughout.

8 Genius You, slow to begin.

Race 11 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (2) 407m

1 Semiyon, slow away.

5 Mean Sam, slow away and checked and lost ground in the back straight.

8 Hit List, raced wide throughout.

Race 12 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 5 (3) 407m

1 Rosa's Legend, slow to begin and checked in the back straight and raced wide for the remainder.

4 County Mist, checked and lost ground in the back straight and raced wide for the remainder.

6 Atomic Hope, checked in the back straight.

8 Baby Thor, slow to begin.

9 Over Load (7), in the back straight checked heavily and lost considerable ground. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
