General:

Trainer Robert Jacobsen was fined $250 under GAR156(f)(ii) for misconduct, in that subsequent to the running of race 7 he used foul and offensive language in the kennelling area in the presence of kennel staff and other industry participants. In assessing penalty stewards took into account the trainers clear record of more than 43 years, not guilty plea, remorse displayed and the newly adopted minimum penalty guidelines.

Trainer Clinton Thompson was fined $250 under GAR156(f)(ii) for misconduct, in that subsequent to the running of race 7 he used foul and offensive language near the kennelling area in the presence of other industry participants. In assessing penalty stewards took into account the trainers’ guilty plea, clear record of 2 years, remorse displayed and the newly adopted minimum penalty guidelines.

3 Chipped Penny – Bumped and checked soon after the start. Checked around the first turn.

6 Starlight Swift - Checked around the first turn. Checked rounding the home turn.

7 Bear Blaster - Checked around the first turn. Checked of heels rounding the home turn and was then bumped heavily and severely checked.

1 Ninetymile Rocks – Checked racing off the back straight.

3 Little Hercules – Checked soon after the start.

4 Sonny Be Swift – Slow to begin.

6 In Good Faith – Raced very wide around the home turn and thereafter.

7 Run Along Anna – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right foreleg and a 21 day stand down was issued.
