4 Sober Ziggy – Slow to begin. Checked racing into the first turn.

6 Little Hercules – Slow to begin. Checked racing into the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the actions of the greyhound rounding the home turn and, in the home, straight. After viewing the available replays, considering submissions from trainer C Emery, stewards were satisfied that Little Hercules had marred the running of Bear Blaster by turning its head outwards and then shifting wider and making head or muzzle contact with that runner, breaching GAR123. Little Hercules has been stood down for 28 days at Rockhampton and until the completion of a satisfactory trial for a first offence.

1 Floyd's Fury – Eased noticeably soon after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the galloping actions of the greyhound soon after the start. After viewing the available replays and considering submissions from trainer J Kuhl, stewards were satisfied that the greyhound had failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the early stages when easing under the provisions of GAR124 for a first offence. Floyd’s Fury has been stood down for 28 days at Rockhampton and until the completion of a satisfactory trial for a first offence.

1 Heslea – Hit the rail racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a left hi support tear and a 14 day stand down was issued.

2 Went For Swim – Checked racing around the home turn.

5 Trendy Touchdown – Slow to begin.

7 Black Baccara – Appeared to shorten stride racing into the back straight and then trailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a severe right hip support tear and a 28 day stand down was issued and the greyhound must complete a satisfactory vet clearance trial.
