6 Tiny Suspicion – Slow to begin. Checked around the first turn.

7 Mick's Gal – Very slow to begin. Checked around the first turn. Checked racing into the back straight. A Post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the galloping actions of the greyhound rounding the home turn and entering the home straight, in particular the outward movement towards Tachyon Diva. After hearing submissions from trainer C Thompson, stewards were satisfied the greyhound had failed to pursue the lure with due commitment at that stage of the race by deviating its attention away from the lure for some distance. As this was a first offence the greyhound was stood down for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory trial.
