Race 1 - SKY RACING MAIDEN 407m

1, Rosa’s Dance Late scratching at 5:13pm pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the veterinary official found the greyhound to have a laceration to its offside hind leg during kennelling. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

5. Swift King Tokyo - Rounding the home turn shifted out marring the runner to its outside. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Christine Pollard regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Swift King Tokyo did make muzzle contact with the greyhound to its outside therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Swift King Tokyo was suspended from racing at Rockhampton for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

8. Frank Footluce - Proved difficult to box, trainer’s representative Isabel Gilmartin was advised the greyhound will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 106(2)(a).

1. Barcelona Boy – Checked and dragged down in the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

8. Burnt Me Late scratching at 5:57pm pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the veterinary official found the greyhound to have an injury to its offside hind toe during kennelling. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
