Race 1 – TAB MAIDEN 407m

Chipped Penny – Trainer P Sear was queried in relation to the greyhounds actions immediately after the start, in particular the appearance of Chipped Penny turning its head outwards for a very brief period. Mr Sear advised that conceded that the available replays depicted the greyhound to turn its head outwards marginally for an extremely brief period, however, was of the opinion that Chipped Penny prefers to race wider on the track and had shifted outwards. When considering the incident in its entirety, stewards could not be satisfied to the requisite standard that the greyhound had failed to pursue the lure with due commitment at that stage of the race, so therefore elected to place a warning on the greyhounds racing manners.
