Yogi’s Baby – Severely checked around the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
Kingsbrae Tay – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the actions of the greyhound in the home straight, in particular, shifting outwards and making contact with Rosa’s Dance. After considering the stewards observations and the submissions made by trainer G Cluse, stewards were satisfied that Kingsbrae Tay shifted out and made head and muzzle contact with Rosa’s Dance which constitutes marring under GAR123. As it was the greyhounds first offence, it has been stood down for 28 days at Rockhampton and until the completion of a satisfactory trial. |

Atomic Ripple – (Beaten favourite 8th) Slow to begin. Checked around the first turn. Checked in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a hip strain and a 10 day stand down was issued. |

Shona’s Fury – Severely checked around the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
Bar One Smokers – Severely checked and fell around the first turn. Regained footing and completed the course. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a left thigh and lower back strain and a 10 day stand down was issued.

Broombrae Blaze - A post-race veterinary examination revealed soreness to the quadriceps and a 10 day stand down was issued. Stewards inquired into the actions of the greyhound in the home straight, in particular, shifting outwards and making contact with Dad’s News. After considering the stewards observations and the submissions made by trainer N Jackson, stewards were satisfied that Broombrae Blaze shifted out and made head and muzzle contact with Dad’s News which constitutes marring under GAR123. As it was the greyhounds first offence, it has been stood down for 28 days at Rockhampton and until the completion of a satisfactory trial.
Dad’s News – Faltered in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right hind leg and a 60 day stand down was issued. This matter will be referred to the Racing Injury review panel. |
