Race 1 - SKY RACING MAIDEN 407m |

4. William Bale - Checked and lost footing on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed neck and back muscle strains , under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. |

8.Rosa’s Dance - Deviated attention towards a runner on the inside exiting the turn onto the front straight but did not make head or muzzle contact. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to Juanita Thompson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. and was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Rockhampton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

4. Naughty Naomi – Checked entering the back straight, gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside hind toe dislocation, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 21 days. |

8. Like A Girl – Checked and gave ground in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside hind leg injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 60 days. This will be reported to the racing injury review panel. |

2. So You Sing – Checked and dragged down from behind on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a lower back muscle strain, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. |

3. Calm Sea – Leading and lost considerable ground in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery/exhaustion, but no stand down was issued. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Gary Cluse regarding the greyhound’s performance Mr Cluse stated; that the dog has only been running a 315m distance in Bundaberg but due to the track not operating at present they opted to run the greyhound in Rockhampton, and the dog was possibly not quite fit enough for the extra distance. Stewards noted the explanation. |
