Race 6 - WENDY MULRY TRAVEL MIXED 4/5 407m

Kingsbrae Smokey – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the actions of the greyhound close to the finish, in particular the movement inwards towards Grand Riku. After considering the available replays, submissions made by trainer G Cluse and acting on their own observations, stewards were satisfied that Kingsbrae Smokey had turned its head inwards close to the finish and shifted in making muzzle contact with Grand Riku which constituted marring under GAR123. As this was the greyhounds first offence, it has been stood down for 28 days at Rockhampton and until the completion of a satisfactory trial.

Zipping Bonanza – (Beaten favourite 3rd) Checked around the first turn. Checked racing off the back straight.
